Specimen shall be heated to between 1550 and 1600 F (840 and 870 C), held
for 2 hours, furnace-cooled at a rate not exceeding 100 F (55 C) |

hour to 1100 F (595 C) and air cooled to ambient. |
| b.
Specimen shall be heated to between 1100 and 1150 F (595 and 620 C), held
for 1 hour, and air cooled to ambient. |
| c.
Specimen shall be heated to between 1400 and 1450 F (760 and 790 C), held
for 2 hours, furnace-cooled at a rate not exceeding 100 F (55 C) |
| per
hour to 1000 F (550 C) and air cooled to ambient. |
| d.
Specimen shall be heated to between 1875 and 1925 F (1025 and 1050 C), held
for 1 hours, air cooled to at least 60 F (15 C), and then |
| precipitation
hardened at 1135 to 1165 F (610 to 630 C), held for 4 hours, and air
cooled to ambient. |
